Description
The Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM), headquartered in Manhiça, Maputo Province, announces that it intends to recruit 2 Demographers to support the CHAMPS Project by carrying out project activities consistent with the specialty, such as: (i) Manage the activities of the Department of Demography; (ii) Supervise field activities; (iii) Produce statistics, reports and publications.
Main responsibilities
Manage the activities of the Department of Demography;
Planning the Department's activities;
Participate in the budgeting of the Department's activities;
Management of HR assigned to the Demography Department;
Management of work resources and equipment made available to the Department;
Responsible for documenting the systems and tools allocated to the Department;
Responsible for the Department's file and documentation;
Coordinate the interaction between the Department and the Studies taking place at CISM;
Watch over the means and work materials in its possession;
Comply with health and safety measures at work, including preventive measures to Covid 19
Supervise field activities
Responsible for checking the quality of information in databases.
Ensure the quality control and maintenance of DSS.
Validation of data cleaning checks made by data managers.
Requirements
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Demography or Geography;
Possess skills and aptitude for the research field:
Skills or Ability to manage teams;
Proficiency in cartographic map production software such as ArcGIS, R, Qgis among others;
Have solid knowledge of Informatics and Statistics;
Have solid knowledge of digital cartography.
Domain of the national administrative division and the cartographic base;
Being fluent in Portuguese and English
